Mina Acquaye RN, BSN, MPH, CHCE is the CEO and Administrator of Excell Home Healthcare, Hospice and Personal Care. Inspired by her husband’s business valor, Mina wanted to express her personal philosophies about customer service and provide patients with a higher level of healthcare. Today, Excell is known for its unparalleled compassion and having the most experienced nurses and caregivers in the industry.
An RN by trade, Mina’s biggest joy comes from interacting with people and providing five-star comfort to patients who are in a vulnerable state. She cherishes the ability to be a part of the changing dynamics of the elderly and is thankful for the positive influence Excell has on individuals and their families.
Mina is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, an International Honor Society for nursing, and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma School of Nursing, as well as the University of Oklahoma with a Master’s degree in public health administration. She is also a certified home care and hospice executive. Mina is currently serving on the Oklahoma City Community College Foundation Board and is a member of Rotary International and Women of the South, a philanthropic women’s organization.
Prior to starting Excell in 1996, Mina was the nursing quality assurance coordinator and director of the cancer program at Southwest Medical Center.
When Mina was a child, she wore a purple uniform to school everyday. Her passion for education grew to a passion for people, and her love of the color purple followed her. Purple has long been associated with royalty and Mina and her team believe their clients should be treated as such. A native of Ghana, West Africa, Mina is now happy to call herself an Oklahoman.
